-seeing "my fair lady" with my dad and ali; it's such a great show and i forgot how much i love the music!
-hearing a woman wearing ALL purple pass gas out loud next to my dad's head as she walked up the ramp of the theater...i actually thought we were going to wet our pants and have to sit in those red velvet theater seats with wet undies the second act of the show. this almost happened AGAIN when my father, the mature sweet man he is, decided to make a small fart noise as the lady in purple passed by our row!!! love it. good theater. good public humiliation.
-having my nephew smile at me once he has decided waking up from a nap is actually not the worst thing that could happen in life
-seeing my Danville girls on the regular. we mainly get together to eat...not much has changed since our panda express/garlex pizza one tree hill nights in high school
-a carving in the sidewalk near my mom's house says "9/11 we remember". a good patriotic pick me up is always moving.
-getting ready to move to new york!
-crossing off each day on the calendar until dan gets here!!! it's like waiting for christmas...perhaps i'll dress up like a present to pick him up from the airport.
unhappy things of late:
-boredom
-missing my good ol' college friends. life still feels incomplete without them :(
-too much time to think about "my life" (ew) and what my goals are (to not fart aloud in a public theater while wearing all purple) so that i can take steps/leaps/hops to achieve them (gas-x)
-70 degrees: i am much more fond of 80-90 degree weather in the california summer, not this windy crap
-having all the time in the world to look for apartments in ny, think about/look for jobs in ny, look at ikea furniture and fun things....my life feels like a bit of a waiting game right now.
-my old friend noah had a brain aneurysm and is in a medically induced coma. everyday is a trial for him and his family. i still can't believe how health can and does change in the blink of an eye. he is in my thoughts...
things i'm looking forward to:
-dan and i oh, i don't know, FINALLY living in the same place at the same time!
-life in the big apple/east coast adventures
-working with my friend steven in the city to move one of his clients into her new condo
-early morning breakfast with noma and bob before my sunday train ride to tahoe with my family!
-getting to plan our wedding together!
-brittany and kelly moving back to danville so i can stare at her stomach and wait for the little guy to kick!
That was fun to read! I say you should definitely dress up like a present when you pick daniel up, haha. And I think it's great that you are complaining about 70 degree weather while everyone else is complaining about the 80-90 degree weather! That's great! :)

ReplyDeleteAshley. I am so excited for you to move to New York. Chad and I are heading back to Provo in 3 weeks. He still has a year left of school. When does your man finish his graduate work? If you drive through Utah on your way to New York (which you won't because its absurd) stop by and see us!
