April Showers

It's Friday night in New York City. Dan has rehearsal late tonight for his opera next week. I dislike opera season while he is in school because it means a lot of late nights for him and empty evenings for me. It's stormy outside so the afternoon I had off from work was nice but didn't land on one of the sunny days we've been having when I'd happily leave my office to walk through Central Park. My coworker basically told me to f-off. My boss keeps telling me I am valuable but uses me to plug various holes within our office infrastructure. I'm lonely because I miss having my support system of best friends and family near me. And as much as I love NYC, I realize more and more how much I miss California.

It's Friday night in New York City and I am alone in my apartment wearing black and white polka-dot pajama pants and my dad's multicolored, quilt-ish sweater from the early nineties.

Please hold while I get my umbrella and try to make it through this storm.
