33

i know it is an awful thing to wish your life away and to not cherish the present. i also know that i'm an ENFJ and i absolutely am guilty of being a future-oriented personality.

indulge me for a moment of guilty pleasure...

in ten years i will be 33 years old. some of my goals are:

owning a home
being a mom
having a master's degree
being a college professor
taking a weekly class for my personal development (yoga, tap, jazz, kickboxing...)
having a garden with vegetables, fruit, and flowers
being blissfully happy in marriage

most of all, i want to be the living epitome of this quote:

"Success is liking who are you, liking what you do, and liking how you do it." -Maya Angelou

  1. it's like... words from my own mouth. We'll get there... well.. I mean... not so much me.. teaching college students. That would be scary. But the kids and garden and liking who/what/how-blissfulness. Much love my twin! Miss you xo.

  2. you're adorable! i'll allow it for now, but i normally give people a big speech who have their lives planned out ;) typically nothing works out the way we expect it to, but it works out even better! i never intended to marry a girl with short hair, who was a scorpio, when i was 35...but i'm not comlaining :) it's great to have goals! go after them with full force, and when they come, whenever that might be, enjoy!!! love you.

  4. great quote and great post! I'm a dreamer myself, it's important to be present in the present but who doesn't like to dream?! I hope to have babies a home and flowers... I should make a list too!
