pound it

firstly, let's talk about how precious this picture is: in the midst of a campaign trail, a successful election, and the first year of presidency, michelle and barack obama pound it. they are a team, a wedded couple of best friends whom i would venture to say are each other's biggest admirers. the mutual support i see from our first family is remarkably beautiful and motivational for all.

with that said, dan and i watched president obama's speech to congress last night (via our stolen internet...still waiting for cable!). i must say, i am a big fan of this man. so far, so good. hearing him speak about our nation reminds me very much about my leadership major. leadership has a main moral component, ethics, shared responsibility, dialogue, change, action, and a fierce conviction. i see these great things appearing in our country's next four years with president obama.

every time i try to keep up to date on the political happenings of our world, "the daily show with jon stewart" cracks me up! he's definitely a lefty but always proves his points with video clips...great journalism. more than that, he's absolutely hysterical! i swear i would vote for him for president. he's extremely intelligent and, to me, is the funniest person on comedy central. i love him.

jon stewart...pound it.
